PIPA Notice (Korea)

This is a version 1.0 draft prepared for review. It reflects our verified technical and data-protection practices but is pending final management and legal approval. Some sections contain items still under management or legal review and should not be relied upon as final policy.

This notice addresses obligations under the Republic of Korea Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), the home jurisdiction of the entity operating EDUMOVIA.

Effective date: 31 August 2026 · Version v1.0

Scope and personal information controller

EDUMOVIA is operated by Castle Consulting Company Co., Ltd. (주식회사 캐슬컨설팅), registered in the Republic of Korea under Business Registration No. 664-87-03141 and based in Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do. As the personal information controller for data collected through this website, it processes that data in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Republic of Korea.

Personal information we collect and purposes

Through our contact, demo request and quote forms we collect your name, work email, organisation, country and the content of your enquiry. We use this information to respond to enquiries, arrange demonstrations, prepare commercial quotes and provide support, and — only with your consent — to process website analytics. We do not use this data for automated decisions that produce legal effects.

Retention period

Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to handle your request and to keep legitimate business records, after which it is destroyed without delay or anonymised, in line with PIPA retention principles and any applicable statutory retention periods.

Provision to third parties and overseas transfer

We do not sell personal information. Data may be handled by service providers that operate our hosting, email and analytics infrastructure; where this involves transfer or processing outside the Republic of Korea, we apply the safeguards required by PIPA. A current list of these providers is maintained on our Sub-processors page.

Rights of data subjects

Under PIPA you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, and suspension of its processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time. We will act on valid requests without undue delay and in accordance with the statutory timeframes.

Protection officer and remedies

Requests may be submitted to [email protected]. The name and contact details of the designated Personal Information Protection Officer are [MANAGEMENT INPUT REQUIRED] and will be added before publication. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may seek assistance from the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) or the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) privacy call centre.

Certain items marked [MANAGEMENT INPUT REQUIRED] in the text (supervisory authority contact details, data protection / privacy officer, and jurisdiction-specific legal points) are being finalized by EDUMOVIA management and legal counsel and will be updated in a subsequent revision.
