Trust & Legal Center DRAFT FOR REVIEW · v1.0

US Privacy Notice

This is a version 1.0 draft prepared for review. It reflects our verified technical and data-protection practices but is pending final management and legal approval. Some sections contain items still under management or legal review and should not be relied upon as final policy.

This notice addresses United States federal and state privacy considerations relevant to education data, in addition to the Global Privacy Notice.

Effective date: 31 August 2026 · Version v1.0

A sectoral and state framework

The United States has no single federal privacy law. Instead, sector-specific federal laws and a growing set of state privacy laws apply. EDUMOVIA does not claim to be “FERPA compliant” or “CCPA certified”; it supports institutions and users in meeting their own obligations.

FERPA and COPPA

FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) protects education records at federally funded institutions and primarily binds the institution; whether and how it reaches EDUMOVIA as a service provider is [LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED]. COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) governs online collection of personal information from children under 13 and requires verifiable parental consent. EDUMOVIA does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 through this website.

State privacy rights

Where applicable, state laws such as the California CCPA/CPRA grant rights of access, deletion and opt-out, and restrict targeted advertising to minors under 16 without opt-in consent. EDUMOVIA does not sell personal data and does not engage in targeted advertising to minors.

Certain items marked [MANAGEMENT INPUT REQUIRED] in the text (supervisory authority contact details, data protection / privacy officer, and jurisdiction-specific legal points) are being finalized by EDUMOVIA management and legal counsel and will be updated in a subsequent revision.
